Testimonial- Quattor Team

1. What has been the biggest challenge your team faced this season?

Probably connect with our new team, since we have a bunch of rookies, which were lacking knowledge. But this requires time so it’s alright.

2. What inspired your robot’s design?

Since our base was also used in the last season, we probably just saw a whole lot of varieties, but the closest one to our design inspiration is the robot of CookieBotz.

3. Tell us about the most significant event your team organised or participated in.

I think this one hasn’t happened yet, but the best one we participated in was probably the forum from Qtech, it had a lot of interesting information such as turning code into CAD. Also we visited their school which was pretty lit and they had a lot of devices(a whole playing field even).

4. Which season was your first in the FIRST Tech Challenge competition?

It is interesting because our team members actually did come out of another one known as Believers. And when the captain and main members graduated, we as a younger legacy of this team, carried on the ideas and created our own team. The first season in robotics as a whole was FGC, in which we made it to the Central Asia regional competition. But in FTC this is our rookie season with new members and ambitions.

5. What lessons have you learned from your competition experiences?

The earlier done is the best one and keep your head up until the very end and enjoy the process. Connect with teams and everyone possible. Competitions such as this can relate to people and create mental bonds between people with the same interest in robotics. There is always an opportunity, it only takes imagination and effort.

6. How do you manage to balance team activities with your studies?

They are pretty close to each other since it depends on the team with which you do an activity or a study. We are pretty close, so it’s not a big difference, but sometimes people(even teammates) are hard to reach up to research with.

7. Is there an interesting or memorable story from your team’s journey?

During the whole trip to Almaty, we had our schools graduate Arystan as a mentor, the whole trip with his pieces of advice was never boring.

8. What awards have you received so far for your efforts?

Central Asia 2024 connection award 🥈 and a promote award 🥇 ( as Quattuor since we are a rookie team and most time spent was in another team).
