Romanian South-West Regional 2025: A Key Gathering for Emerging Robotics Talent
The city of Craiova is preparing to host one of the most significant robotics events in the region as it welcomes the 2025 FIRST Tech Challenge South-West Regional. Taking place between February 28 and March 1, 2025, the competition will be held at the Craiova Multifunctional Centre, a venue recognized for supporting large educational and technological initiatives.
This regional stage will bring together numerous high school robotics teams from across southwestern Romania, each aiming to demonstrate their engineering skill and strategic insight. Throughout the event, students will engage in technical evaluations, competitive matches, and collaborative activities designed to test their ability to design, construct, and program functional robotic systems. The competition highlights not only performance but also cooperation, professionalism, and sound engineering practices.
Serving as an essential component of DECODE Season #10, the South-West Regional plays a crucial role in the progression of teams toward national-level qualification. By providing an environment that mirrors real-world engineering challenges, the event strengthens the foundation of STEM education and fosters long-term interest in science and technology among participating students.
Organizers, partners, and volunteers aim to deliver a well-coordinated and high-standard competition, ensuring that all participants benefit from a fair, safe, and educational experience. As an influential milestone in the national FTC circuit, the Craiova Regional continues to support the development of future engineers and innovators.
With its strong commitment to promoting STEM excellence, Craiova reaffirms its role as a regional hub for technological advancement and youth innovation.
