Brăila Tech Challenge Returns with Its 2nd Edition: A New Meeting Point for the FTC Community in Romania
The Romanian FTC robotics community is getting ready for a new event dedicated to a passion for technology, creativity, and collaboration. On January 17, the Velocity robotics team is organizing Brăila Tech Challenge – 2nd Edition, a meet that brings together teams from all over the country in a friendly environment open to the exchange of ideas.
The event will take place at Sala Polivalentă Danubis in Brăila and is designed as a space where teams can interact beyond competition. Brăila Tech Challenge is not just about matches, but about people, ideas, and shared experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to test their robots in demonstration matches, discuss technical solutions, compare different approaches, and learn from one another throughout the season.
In addition to the technical side, the meet encourages dialogue between teams. There will be moments for open discussions, feedback exchange, as well as interactive activities meant to stimulate cooperation and creativity. It’s the kind of event where you can leave not only with new ideas for your robot, but also with new friendships or a fresh perspective on the competition.
For teams at the beginning of their journey, Brăila Tech Challenge represents an excellent opportunity to see how other teams work, ask questions, and become familiar with the FTC competitive atmosphere. For experienced teams, it is a chance to test strategies, refine mechanisms, and contribute to the growth of the community.
The organizers emphasize that the focus is on collaboration, fair play, and development, not on rankings. The main goal is for every team to leave with something valuable: a technical idea, meaningful feedback, or simply motivation for the rest of the season.
Registration is available through the link in Velocity’s bio, and spots are limited. The event is supported by a series of local and national sponsors who support education, innovation, and the development of young people passionate about technology.
Brăila Tech Challenge – 2nd Edition promises to be more than just a regular meet: an authentic gathering of the FTC community, in a city that becomes, for one day, an important point on Romania’s robotics map.
